Mississippi Farmers Market to Extend Days of Operation

Warmer weather means more fresh Mississippi-grown fruits and vegetables ready for harvest. Starting this Tuesday, May 15th, the Mississippi Farmers Market will extend its days of operation to accommodate for the increase of available produce. Summer operating hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. » MORE

MDAC Launches New Online System for Registering Pesticides

The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) introduced the Pesticide Products Registration Online System in 2011 to overwhelming support from businesses nationwide. In its first year of operation as a pilot system, over 80 percent of businesses took advantage of this user-friendly online application as a simple, convenient, and affordable way to register pesticides for sale or distribution in the State of Mississippi. » MORE
