Eligible applicants interested in requesting funds through the SCBGP must submit a completed application to MDAC during the time that applications are being accepted. Application guidelines are included in the Request for Proposals (RFP). The FY2012 Request for Proposals is now available. The deadline to submit an application to MDAC is May 2, 2012.
To assist with the application process, a sample proposal is available.
Grant applications are reviewed by an Advisory Committee consisting of experts involved in the specialty crop industry. Applications are evaluated based on the merit of the submitted proposal narrative and the criteria outlined in RFP. Applicants are notified as to whether proposals will be submitted to USDA for potential funding.
