Commissioner Hyde-Smith's Welcome

Dear Fairgoers,

On behalf of the Mississippi Fair Commission and the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 154th Mississippi State Fair. To many Mississippians, attending the State Fair is a tradition and provides families a fun-filled environment that is second to none for all ages. Whether it is the food, rides, livestock events, music, or the other various forms of entertainment, believe me, the State Fair always provides great entertainment and memories that will last a lifetime.

As part of all the fun, the State Fair also spotlights Mississippi's strong agricultural industry and heritage. Youth livestock shows and various agricultural attractions, such as the popular Children's Barnyard, will provide excellent opportunities for the fair-going public to learn more about this important Mississippi industry.

All the events and activities that you don't want to miss are listed in this informative State Fair Fun Guide. Thank you for helping make the Mississippi State Fair a time-honored tradition. I look forward to seeing you this year.

Sincerely,

Cindy Hyde-Smith
Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce
Fair Commission Chairman
