The Mississippi State Fair is located in Jackson, Mississippi. The fair begins the first Wednesday in October each year. It runs for twelve days.
The Mississippi State Fair is one of the South's major fairs with 549,387 attending in 1999. The mile long midway, free major entertainment, livestock shows and 120,000 sq. ft. of exhibits are the main attractions.
The Mississippi State Fairgrounds has under gone a 21.5 million dollar renovation.
